Local photographers gather along the river bank, camera at the ready to capture the flight of the American Bald Eagle in action. Exelon Generation, the owner and operator of Conowingo, recently held its third annual photo contest to help highlight the beauty of the bald eagle and highlight awareness of the importance the region plays in the existence of the bald eagle in a natural environment.

The winners of the 3rd Annual Conowingo Bald Eagle Photo contest are:
· First place - “Bald Eagle Soaring,” Mitch Adolph,Lutherville, Md.
· Second place - “The Dive,” Paul McFadden, Lebanon, Pa.
· Third place - “Morning at Conowingo,” Herbert Burket, Paradise Pa.
· Fourth place - “A Juvenile catching his prey!!” Ami Dyan, Amboy, N.J.
